    Norman Ryan has redefined what a music publisher can be in the 21st century through his creative leadership, commitment to innovation and progressive vision. Norman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Brown University and a Certificate in Film Studies from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Before arriving at Schott in January 2005, he was previously Associate Director of Programming at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Creative Director at G. Schirmer. In his roles at Lincoln Center, G. Schirmer and now at Schott Music, he has identified and collaborated with many of the world's leading composers and performers developing new projects with such organizations and festivals as The Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, The Cleveland Orchestra, the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, Concertgebouw Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), the Tanglewood and Aspen Music Festivals, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and many others. He has served as a creative consultant to the Trisha Brown Dance Company, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and American International Artists and as a contributing writer to Stagebill and Playbill magazines. He has served on the board of directors of OPERA America, New Music USA, Music Publishers Association of the United States, and the Fort Greene Park Conservancy and currently serves on the board of directors of the Talea Ensemble, American Opera Projects and the MetroTech/BAM Cultural District BID in Brooklyn, New York.

    Caroline Kane was born in Media, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Fine Arts from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and a Master of Music degree in Church Music from Northwestern University, and subsequently worked as an organist and choir director. She began her career in music publishing at The Theodore Presser Company in their sales department. She joined European American Music Distributors Corporation in Paoli, Pennsylvania in 1993 in the copyright department under the direction of Ronald Freed, and has assumed ever-increasing responsibilities within the company through its move to Miami in 1999 and to New York City in 2004.

    Lauren Ishida joined Schott Music in 2017 following positions with the Hunter Opera Theater, the resident opera company of Hunter College specializing in new American operas, and later as Director of Music Programming at The Flea Theater in Tribeca. As a soprano, Ms. Ishida specializes in both early music and music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. She earned her BA in Music and Psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University and MA in Music from Hunter College.
