PWM Edition Launches ANAKLASIS Records

PWM Edition announces the launch of the company's new record label, ANAKLASIS Records. The extensive repertoire of ANAKLASIS includes Polish music of the 20th and 21st centuries, works by recognized and promising artists, featuring excellent performers and outstanding works. 

The ANAKLASIS catalog will feature a variety of different series, each highlighting a unique aspect of the contemporary music scene:
 
• PORTRAITS - a monographic presentation of the achievements of contemporary Polish composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. 

• SOUNDS - a look at contemporary music through the prism of its outstanding interpreters and their instruments. 

• REVISIONS - experiments, transgressions, upheavals - music by composers working in the fields of electronics or improvised music. 

• HERITAGE - unknown treasures from the archives of major institutions and record companies. 

• IMAGES - audio-visual content including recordings of opera performances and concerts, as well as music-related documentary films. 

The inauguration of the new record label is celebrated in a special concert on November 22 in Mała Warszawa in Warsaw. During this event, audiences will hear performances of music from the new CD, E-SONGBOOK, which will be released as part of the REVISIONS series and features the songs of Stanisław Moniuszko reinterpreted by Cezary Duchnowski. E-SONGBOOK is a contemporary interpretation of well-known works performed by the sought-after composer and vocalist, Agata Zubel, cellist, Andrzej Bauer, and the composer Cezary Duchnowski who created the electronics. E-SONGBOOK serves to highlight the artistic value ​​and potential of Polish romantic song in a new way. 

A second launch concert for ANAKLASIS Records takes place in Paris on November 14.
